Why Choose an Airbnb over a Hotel

Why Choose an Airbnb over a Hotel

Should you choose a personal experience or vacation AirBnB over a hotel? As you dream up a vacation, choosing your accommodations is one of the most influential decisions in the planning process. The place you choose to stay can make or break your vacation experience.

Choosing a vacation rental instead of a hotel offers a long list of perks, so much so that many people never go back to hotels after they have tried vacationing in an Airbnb. Check out our list of 5 reasons to choose a VRBO, Personal Rental or an AirBnB over a hotel to find out why!

1. Space

In many cases, the size of a hotel and the size of an Airbnb with comparable price points will be significantly different. The price you might pay for a hotel room could cover an entire home rental, with space for a private bedroom, living room, kitchen, and many even outside space.

At our cabins, you can enjoy a private hot tub and outdoor area, a living room with a fireplace, dining area, and bedroom. It is so much easier to enjoy your vacation when you have more space. Airbnbs will beat hotels in this area every time.

2. Kitchen

One of the challenges of staying in a hotel is needing to eat out or order in for every meal. If you choose an Airbnb, you will likely have access to a kitchen or kitchenette and be able to make as many of your meals as you prefer at home. In a hotel room, you’re more likely to have a small coffee maker and a mini fridge.

Our cabins each feature a fully equipped kitchen, with everything you need to prepare and enjoy any kind of meal. Of course there are plenty of excellent restaurant choices in Big Bear, but if you want to have a romantic, private meal at home or prepare your significant other’s favorite breakfast in bed, nothing beats having your very own kitchen right outside your bedroom door. This is also a great way to make vacationing affordable!

3. Privacy

Airbnbs offer privacy that doesn’t compare to a hotel room. You won’t have to worry about seeing or hearing other guests, with your own private space to unwind and connect. If you are looking for a way to get away together and enjoy your relationship without distractions, a mountain Airbnb is the perfect choice.

Both of our Airbnbs are set on spacious mountain lots, with abundant mature trees that provide a secluded atmosphere. You will love vacationing together without any other guests in sight.

4. Noise

Hotels are known to be noisy, with guests walking through the halls at any time of day or night, your neighbor’s TV turned up too loud, or even cleaning and room service crews stopping by your room or another guest’s at the wrong time.

In one of our cabins, you will experience a peace and quiet that you simply cannot have in a hotel room. Enjoy your peaceful getaway without noise from staff, guests, or nearby parking lots. This is the perfect way to spend a romantic vacation.

5. One of a kind experience

Choosing an Airbnb means having an exclusive, unique vacation experience. Post photos from your weekend away without any of your followers begin sure where you are, and inject a bit of excitement into your relationship with a new location.

Staying in our cabins means enjoying a one-of-a-kind experience, with no other vacation accommodations providing exactly the same aesthetic and amenities. We know our guests often choose our cabins to celebrate special occasions, or even to pop The Question.
